SE Support

Our network includes individuals from within business development and management consulting, CSR, PR and legal expertise – all of whom have a unique understanding of the realities of social entrepreneurship.

SE Support is SE Forum’s feedback and guidance service, exclusively available to our members. This service is designed to meet your needs and is mainly aimed at supporting you in the process of achieving your goals as a social entrepreneur. The service contains the following steps:

Step I: An hour of feedback and personal support, free of charge.

This step is best understood as a general feedback and an opportunity to be further inspired to keep working on your ideas through our input and initial recommendations.

Can SE Forum help me find financial support for my project/business?

We cannot offer any financial assistance but we are often able to recommend resources where you can find grants and other support. Social enterprises are sustainable businesses that rely on self-supporting income models. As with all businesses, there is often need for financial support (from grants or investors) during the start-up phase. Grants and money from funds should not be a central part of the long-term income model, but are often used as a partial means of support while getting started.

Step II: Involving your business idea as an integrated part of SE Forum

If your project or business is in compliance with the definitions, visions and methods of SE Forum you are able to apply for financial support through us. To do this you need to:

• Have found an existing fund that you want to apply to
• Present us with a complete project description, preferably corresponding to the application form provided by the funding organization

The material you present us with will serve as a base for our board’s decision. Any project that is funded completely or partly through SE Forum requires a certain amount of administration as well as an operational and strategic support including economic responsibility from our board. It is therefore important that we have enough time and material to make a decision. A certain percentage of your budget needs to cover the administration required from SE Forum throughout the course of each project.  You need to approach us with your request 2 months before the application is due.
