UNIQUE SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP INCUBATOR PROGRAM WITH LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL IMPACT
Social Entrepreneurship Forum (SE Forum) is a Swedish based non-profit organization, founded in 2004. SE Forum is a network of people working to promote, inspire and empower social entrepreneurs and those interested in the field.
For nearly seven years, SE Forum has been approached by individuals and organizations to provide information, support and collaborations with a wide range of partners, including the H&M Anniversary Foundation, the Folke Bernadotte Academy, Forum Syd, and Sida. We have supported and hosted the development of a nationally-recognized social enterprise, Framtidsboxen, with funding support from Allmänna Arvsfonden. And this year, we hosted an event in Stockholm with Nobel Peace Laureate, Muhammad Yunus.Building on this track record, SE Forum is now hiring a Program Director for a newly created program called SE Outreach. This program, based in Stockholm, provides a unique opportunity for a creative and entrepreneurial leader to develop a unique new program with global impact.
SE Outreach Program Description:
With multi-year funding support from Sida (the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency), SE Outreach will be a full service incubator program aimed at supporting and facilitating the emergence of social entrepreneurs whose innovations and ideas have the potential to meet global MDG’s and problems related to poverty, health, exclusion, environmental degradation and other complex problems in developing countries. The program is designed to have a leverage effect for entrepreneurs in the process of developing their ideas into action and sustainable operations, creating social and environmental impact.SE Outreach will be a multi-faceted program supporting entrepreneurs both in Sweden and abroad who are working on complex problems in developing countries. Some of the services SE Outreach will provide include:
- COACHING AND MENTORING support services and advice on idea development, business models, and funding structures.
- CREATIVE IDEA LAB with workshops and sessions for active problem solving around entrepreneurs’ own and external challenges.
- FACILITATION around the interaction between the entrepreneur and the outside world (stakeholders, partners and target groups).
- VIRTUAL WEB PLATFORM with a global reach that includes networking contacts, sharing of experiences, problems and solutions.
- SEMINARS, EVENTS, AND MEETINGS, based on the format of SE BAR and SE Seminars, which will provide entrepreneurs with new tools and skills.
About the Program Director Position:
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Strategic and operational planning and execution of the program, building and leading a team of co-workers in close collaboration with SE Forum’s Board of Directors.
- Fundraising and building capacity to the program, working closely with other SE Forum programs and activities.
- External partner development, to include government, corporate, and organizational partners. This will include expanding and engaging national and global networks and relations aimed at strengthening program activities.
- Operational roles, to include coaching, mentoring, conducting seminars and workshops, etc.
- Quality assurance of tools and models to measure Social Impact Objectives used by entrepreneurs in the program.
- Internal and external communication and reporting.
- Reporting and follow up on program development at a yearly basis to partner organizations and program funders.
- International Travel (10%) for the purpose of education, networking, partner and program development.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PERSON WHO:
- is a creative team player and entrepreneurial leader with a genuine and demonstrated interest in social entrepreneurship in the context of low-income countries.
- is a “doer” with a demonstrated ability to combine and execute operational and administrative tasks at high standards with vision and strategic thinking.
- is a strong and professional networker with real life experience of starting and/or supporting entrepreneurial work aimed at development and poverty reduction.
- has international travel and work experience, preferably in developing countries, and is willing to travel.
- reads, writes, and speaks fluent Swedish and English. Additional languages are a plus.

Decision: A decision will be made by the SE Forum Board on 19 December.
