  • Breakfast meeting on social entrepreneuship with Peter Shrimpton

Stockholm Chamber of Commerce hosts a breakfast meeting with Peter Shrimpton, founder of Heart and one of South Africa’s main social entrepreneurs. During the breakfast he will share his story about how he left the financial world to become one of the most successful social entrepreneurs.

  • SE Forum workshop at Rework the world

Join us at the Rework the world conference in Leksand on June 4 at 8.30 – 9.30 a.m. Venue: Arena – Restaurant in the conference area. SE Forum will present a summary of lessons learned from over 30 presentations conducted by Swedish social entrepreneurs since 2007. SE FORUM have arranged monthly meetings the past years where inspiring social entrepreneurs have shared their experiences and insights. At this workshop we will present a summary of these findings and host a discussion on how to become a real social entrepreneur.

  • Seminarium – Är hemlöshet rimlig i dagens Sverige?

2010 har utsetts till det Europeiska året för bekämpning av fattigdom och social utestängning. Många menar att fattigdom i princip är utrotad i Sverige och i de fall en individ drabbas av en krissituation träder det offentliga samhället in. Så ser inte verkligheten ut. Jerr Boschee, one of the pioneers in the field of social entrepreneurship and CEO for the Social Enterprise Alliance, visits Malmö University. The seminar will, among other things, highlight good examples of social entrepreneurship and discuss the success factors that practical work proved to be most important when it comes to working with social entrepreneurship in NGOs. In the mid of November a group of well-known non-governmental organizations holds, for the tenth consecutive year, the biggest event on human rights among the Nordic countries.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about human rights and to highlight them on the political agenda. SE Forum will assist and will, among other things, present our conclusions from part two of the OUTREACH study.
